Christoph Keese
CEO at Hyvent, former Executive VP at Axel Springer SE
Christoph Keese is the CEO of Hyvent, in part owned by Axel Springer SE and operator of the start-up and networking conference hy! In Berlin. Mr. Keese is a trained journalist as well as studied economist. He was Managing Editor of „Berliner Zeitung“ and Editor-in-Chief of „Financial Times Deutschland“, „Welt am Sonntag“ and „Welt Online“ before accepting executive positions. In his last role as Executive Vice President of Axel Springer SE – one of Europe’s largest publishing groups – he helped transform the company into a digital publisher on an international scale and define its positions on political issues in the evolving digital ecosystem. In 2013 Mr. Keese spent 6 months in Palo Alto / Silicon Valley to explore investment opportunities and has subsequently written a bestseller about how Silicon Valley transforms the world. His new book, titled „Silicon Germany“, was published in September 2016. Other books he has written dealt with capitalism’s effect on society and the art of responsible behavior.
James Eiloart
Senior Vice President, EMEA Sales, Tableau
James Eiloart is Tableau Software’s SVP EMEA. James has been with Tableau since 2013, leading the business in EMEA.
With more than 28 years in the software industry, building and leading international sales teams and strong partner ecosystems, James has held executive positions in sales, channel, strategic alliances, and marketing. Prior to Tableau, James was SVP Global Sales at Alterian. He has also served in executive positions at E.piphany and Remedy and crafted his sales skills at Compuware.
James is a graduate of the University of Leeds and holds an BSC (Hons) in Data Processing. When he can escape the demands of his wife and four children, James plays golf, badly.
Jock Mackinlay
VP, Research & Experience, Tableau
Jock is Tableau's Vice President of visual analysis. At Stanford University, he pioneered the automatic design of graphical presentations of relational information. He joined Xerox PARC in 1986, where he collaborated with the User Interface Research group to develop many novel applications of computer graphics for information access, coining the term "information visualization." Much of the fruits of this research can be seen in his book, "Readings in Information Visualization: Using Vision to Think." Jock has a PhD in computer science from Stanford University.
Marc Rueter
Senior Director, Product Management, Tableau
Marc is Tableau's senior director of product management. Since version 1.0, he has helped customers, partners, and employees do amazing things with Tableau. Many of Marc's creative workarounds and Goldberg contraptions ended up as easy right-click options in future releases of the product. Currently he helps establish Tableau's strategic direction for analytics, while sharpening his Tableau Jedi skills. Marc has a long background in business intelligence and holds both an M.B.A. and a mechanical engineering degree.
